Nachiket Pendharkar's 1st Law of Social Motion - Inertia in Society

Definition: Every society has a tendency to maintain its state of under-developedness or of uniform progression in development, unless acted upon by an external unbalanced leader.

Note: Such leaders emerge at irregular intervals, the interval period often is so long that it gives an illusion of eternity. One gets reminded of the famous quote of John Keynes, a British economist, "In the long run, we are all dead.." In short, nothing changes or appears to change in your lifetime...
