A Power set in an exercise workout means a high intensity set, which involves lifting heavy weight and performing lesser repetitions. So, this blog will contain my thoughts which are relatively short but (I feel) could be carrying a lot of meaning...

On buying an elephant..
Not that I wish to buy an elephant. But unavailability of that as an option in life is most disturbing!

Biggest paradox of life
Death is the surest loss. You may escape from other losses, but loss of your loved ones, today or tomorrow, is inevitable. However, we are least prepared for this loss. We recover from other losses much quickly but death of our loved ones leaves us in grief for much more time. I feel, this is the biggest paradox of life...

Nachiket Pendharkar's 1st Law of Social Motion - Inertia in Society
Definition: Every society has a tendency to maintain its state of under-developedness or of uniform progression in development, unless acted upon by an external unbalanced leader.
Note: Such leaders emerge at irregular intervals, the interval period often is so long that it gives an illusion of eternity. One gets reminded of the famous quote of John Keynes, a British economist, "In the long run, we are all dead.." In short, nothing changes or appears to change in your lifetime...

5/7th of life, do we really care for it???
Most of us, work for 5 days. After that, 1 day we require for rest. And the last 1 day, is totally our own. So we definitely can do anything on that 1 day, there we live life. 6th day also, we rest, so it rejuvenates us to meet with life. As regards, the 1st 5 days, if we happen to spend time doing things which we don't like or simply detest, in fact, we are not enjoying 5/7th of our life!! Also, our last 1 day's pleasure will be discounted, because we will be half thinking about the boring week ahead. How important the work days are, to enjoy life! It's necessary that we stop accepting work merely because it pays and rather also look at the 'life' aspect of work...

Why men are so chivalrous to women..
Following couplet, a 'relyrics' version of a famous marathi couplet, endeavours to humourously summarise why men are so chivalrous towards women. A bit bold, vulgar perhaps, but very candid and effective in its purpose, in my opinion...

External stimulus
However self-motivated you might be, some external stimulus is sometimes needed to make you keep going. And anyways, External stimulus is often, if not always, stronger than the internal one.

Tough decisions
Sometimes, some decisions are very tough in life, but you need to take them. It's like amputing your own leg, suffering from gangrene. You love it dearly, but for the long term good, you need to ampute it. It's agony to live without it, but there is no option.

'Rocket Science', a myth..
I have never really come across any difficult topic or subject in my life. Whenever I felt so, it was only because of either poor teaching, horribly written books or foolishly designed syllabi. I dont think, any concept is difficult to understand, if you can think. Indeed, I wonder, whether there's any 'rocket science' in rocket science itself...
Magical hours of the day
Every hour of the day has its own magic. Things work the best, if they are done at that time. Following are my observations:
- Early morning: Excellent for studies, meditation or for a walk.
- Mid and late Morning: Good for digging your head in work.
- Afternoon: Nice time to have a break, have a bite of lunch. Also, there is nothing as great as an afternoon nap. Perhaps, bad for health, but one does crave for it after lunch.
- Early evening: Great for studies, stroll post work hours
- Late Evening: Best time to hangout with friends
- Night: Din Din time, also good time to log onto internet for chatting with your friends.
- Late Night: Again, excellent for studies and meditation. Also, perhaps the best time to talk with ur SPECIAL person.

Is geometry artificial?
Look at nature, look at the forests, deserts, oceans and mountains. You may see not see any straight lines, perpendiculars, squares, circles, etc. But it's wonderfully balanced nevertheless, there is order amongst its chaos.
Look at man, look at the cities. The roads are perpendicular, lanes are straight, gardens are square, playgrounds are circular etc. But ultimately, this only disturbs the ecosystem and pollutes the environment. It's pathetically imbalanced, there is chaos amongst its order....
Sometimes I wonder, is geometry an artificial science???

Irony of life
When you look back at life, you always laugh over the difficult times that you faced and you cry over the great moments of the past....that's the irony of life..

Best things are free..
I saw today's facebook status update of my dear friend Naghma Parveen (I love weekends... Slept for 12 hours flat!! Bliss...) and that brought to surface a thought which had been lingering in my mind for so many months or years.
We run behind money, but actually the things that give you biggest joys in life are often free, like sleep, watching your child grow, being one with nature, talking to friends etc...We do require money for living, but shouldn't we rather earn money for buying what we want, than sacrificing what we want to earn money?? What say guys?
